Should I trust the girl doing my hair and nails to help me pick out a good color/style?
I'm getting my hair dyed and cut and a manicure on Friday to try to relax after a week of exams. Except I usually just go for the same thing-layered hair with side bangs and a classic dark pink for my nails. I want to do something crazy this time though, so I was going to ask the girl doing my hair/nails to help me pick a good color for my hair and maybe my nails, and ask if she has a good idea for a new hairstyle.
Can I trust her to not make me look stupid on purpose?
All of the people that work there are fashionable, so I think she would know what looks good... =/Should I trust the girl doing my hair and nails to help me pick out a good color/style?
why would she make you look stupid on purpose
if anything it's HER reputation on the line, not yours.Should I trust the girl doing my hair and nails to help me pick out a good color/style?
All they can do for you is give you advice. You have a mind of your own and can pick and choose the advice given. As for trusting them, they are messing your hair and nails and if you do not trust them, how can you even go and get it done. Ask what they would think would look cute and if you don't like it tell them. Or if you have an idea of your own, discuss it with them, perhaps they can follow up with what you want and input their opinion.
well just ask her and if what she says sounds crazy then don't do it...you could also go in with pics of cute hairstyles or colors you like and ask her opinion
okay well it seems like you have hesitation so if you do then you obviously don't trust her!
and it's not like you have to do everything she tells you. listen to her ideas and if you don't like it, then tell her. and nails aren't that big of a deal

ive recently found out people my age don't really know who these guys are i wanted to know if they were going out of style or do teens just have bad tasteDo you like nine inch nails? the cranberrys? ace of base? are these bands going out of style?
Teens don't have bad taste...these bands just aren't mainstream anymore.
Although nine inch nails will never go out of style for meDo you like nine inch nails? the cranberrys? ace of base? are these bands going out of style?
NiN is okay hehehe!
LMAO@ Ace Of Base, wow I haven't heard that name in a while.
Hey at least you didn't ask if anyone else liked Dokken.
I think the only time these artists and their music go out of style is when they stop performing and getting themselves out there for new generations to enjoy!

What if I nailed a copy of Sam Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation to a church door, Martin Luther-style?
You'd be arrested for causing a public disturbance or simply sued by the church for damage.
Then comes the media. :)What if I nailed a copy of Sam Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation to a church door, Martin Luther-style?
I seriously doubt that most within the Christian fold would bother reading it once they grasp the initial thesis. Most people go to church in order to experience a form of escapism, in the same manner that we go to the movie theatre to disconnect from the real world for a while and become immersed in a fantasy. Since the primary motivation for individuals attending church is explicitly for the purpose of deluding themselves, they will not be in any mood to be exposed to a book that skillfully dismantles their delusion.
Your intent is quite laudable, nonetheless. I think the best way to approach people of faith that may be on the precipice towards unbelief, is to approach them in arenas far removed from religious influence. Christians and people of other religious affiliations have become deft at using common social venues or topics as spring boards to launch a proselytizing campaign. Maybe it is time that secularists start to do the same thing. Use your next science class to talk about the superb rationality of evolution over the irrational superstition that is Creationism. The next time you see a film with your friends that is placed within a historical context, search for a way you can sneak in the historically immoral practices of institutionalized religion and how their dominion over society, in the past, stymied both moral and material progress.
It is time that secularists of every stripe become as evangelical as the religious people are in order to counteract faith based precepts.
Just as an aside, though the effort might be futile, you should try and do what you stated you are thinking of doing. Go ahead and nail a Letter to a Christian Nation to a Church door. After all, evangelical Christians have no qualms about virtually covering up our cars and public walls with advertisments for their church, so why can't secular people do the same? What if I nailed a copy of Sam Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation to a church door, Martin Luther-style?
I'd be intrigued and definitely read it.
Then I would ponder it for a while and decide for myself what I believe or not.
The pastor would quickly remove it and spirit it away (no pun intended)
Do it and let's see!!
Gawd, I so wish that I could come up with these questions! Lmao! You rawk, Squirrel :)
I'm with ya, but I still don't think they'd read it.
Maybe if you put a Rick Warren or Ray Comfort dust jacket on it you might fool them into at least reading the first chapter.
I'd rather nail Sam Harris ;)blackhead treatment

Complete style for this dress? (makeup, hair, nails, etc)?
Pictures, descriptions, and any bits of advice would help!
If you don't know what WOULD look good, then please tell me what WOULDN'T look good.
Sorry if you've already seen the dress in my other questions! I need lots of help figuring it all out.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/28421525@N0鈥?/a>Complete style for this dress? (makeup, hair, nails, etc)?
-Putting your hair down while wearing this dress would look more balanced since the dress is poofy at the bottom.
-Wear purple eyeshadow to match your dress, but don't put too much.Complete style for this dress? (makeup, hair, nails, etc)?
I think you should do your makeup with like a silver-purple eye shadow on the lid. Then line your eyes with eyeliner and get some pretty lashes that will make your eyes look complete. Then the face real natural with a light bronzer that fits your skin color on top of whatever type of face makeup you use. For the lips you can never go wrong with a gloss! For you nails a french would look nice with that dress. For your hair it depends on how long your hair is? Hopefully that helps you out alittle!
Do a french manicure with nude pink polish.
White is too sharp.
The nude pink gives a nice, classic polished look that compliments you.
Go with silver shoes, or shoes of EXACTLY the same color. Black or white is too extreme.
I think your hair down, but pulled back (curled would look nice) would be a good bet.
Classic dangle earings would be nice. Go simple. Giant chandelier earing would be too garish. Simple silver drops would be nice, with a similar necklace.
It all depends on your skin tone, hair color and length. I would say less is better w/ that dress. It looks like there is a lot of detail on it. Natural makeup (nude tones, gloss instead of lipstick), I would say hair half up half down (although you may have short hair - or unruly hair lol). I would only wear earrings (chandeliers are nice) and maybe one thin bangle bracelet (if at all). I would go for white gold or silver for those jewelry options.
hmm well it's a beautiful dress for starters. I agree about the previous comments concerning the nails. Hair up in a loose french twist with pieces here and there framing your face. Gentle makeup, nothing too harsh in colour. Muted cool colours. shoes.. silver strappy sandles, med. heel. Nothing too tall or too short, you don't want to catch the taffeta in the back on the heels and tear it.
Hope this helps ^^

that would look cute for ur hair.
Because its such a delicate kind of dress your makeup shouldnt be too much. use a pastel palet for your eye shadow, but nothing over the top,.
if your hair is gonna look like the one in the picture i sugggested these earings would look great, but you shouldnt use the neckalace cuz of the style of the dress.

shoes; not too high but something like this would be cute:

nails, just get a french manicure at the salon :)
Wear some silver shoes so your not wearing just one color and it's looks like theres some silver in the dress anyways. Then get a silver french manicure. For your hair do the hump or ust wear it down and curled. And wear some eyeliner and mascara with some light purple eyeshadow but not to much just a thin layer with some small thin silver bracelets not too many though!
Okayy...
MAKE-UP:
I say go with a light color lip-gloss (depending on the color of your skin). And of course wear some mascara and maybe a little eyeliner if you like.
If you wear eyeshadow, I would suggest lavender but dont put too much on.
HAIR:
I say you should wear it up in a classic bun with curly pieces of hair in front of your face. Or if you want your hair down, you should get it cut into a cute, funky, hairstyle. Heres some short hairstyles...
http://thetrendsetter.wordpress.com/2007鈥?/a>
JEWELRY:
I say just wear some silver, dangly earrings. And a simple silver necklace.
NAILS:
You should get french tips.
Hope that helps!! :D
i like it how it is in the picture. u dont nedd jewelry on a detailed dress. maybe a french manicure and some silver heels. try a silvery eyshadow and nude lips. bronzer would be great 2
hair up for sure.
nails ; maybe a french manicure, nothing too intense.
make up ; i'd say a smokey eyes but NOT too dark.
and light lip gloss.
flowy hair... curly.... nude nails or french tip. makeup is pretty wide open.... id stick with browns and pinks... blue is tacky so dont go there

False nails are they worth it? I am thinking of having a french manicure style done.?
yeah i've been gettin my nails done 4 years they look so much betta than ur own an if they're fine if u keep on top of themFalse nails are they worth it? I am thinking of having a french manicure style done.?
They are worth it and really additive. I'm a manicurist myself but would never recommend that if your nails by nature is of good condition. Having a stick on without acrylic is OK but if acrylic is involved, there are bounds to be primer.
That is to ensure the fake nails stays but at the same time it cause great harm to your natural nails. Think about it.
=)False nails are they worth it? I am thinking of having a french manicure style done.?
If you are getting them done for a special occasion then I think that false nails are good, especially if your own nails don't look that nice.
However as they can destroy your nature nails I wouldn't get false nails for a long period of time, however there is nothing wrong with treating yourself occasionally
Long fake looking nails are out according to the fashion magazines like Vogue. I actually dont think they are worth it because they have destroyed my natural nails in the process. I like to keep my nails short and neat with color.
yes they look good
Although it looks very good, it is not very healthy for your nails. If you do your nails give them a resting period at least every three months.
to get a french manicure, u don't need fake nails... they aren't worth it.
Yes they look lovely but are high maintainance. If I am going out I buy the sticky on ones and they look nice too.
I much prefer the look of natural nails but I have seen nice fake ones too. Just make sure you have them trimmed down to a natural looking length.
yeah mine look really good, must admit they take alot of looking after but they are worth it!
Depends on how long you plan to keep them. If you maintain them for a long time, they are nice to have. If you get them for a special occasion the havoc they wreck on your natural nails is hell to overcome. They will weaken them and leave ridges that take months to grow out. I had them for 2 years, quit having them done for several years then had a french manicure done for a cruise. The long term was much better, felt like I got more for the suffering of growing out my natural nails after then I did for the two weeks I had them for the cruise.
depends what type of job you have. not worth getting them done if you're work is gonna ask you to remove them.

I'm looking for songs that have a similar style to Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, or Chevelle?
I enjoy music that has a sort of eerie sound to it, like ';There There'; by Radiohead, ';Time'; by Pink Floyd, ';Reptile'; or ';The Fragile'; by Nine Inch Nails, or ';Panic Prone'; by Chevelle. Can you tell me the names of any bands, or songs, that have a similar style?I'm looking for songs that have a similar style to Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails, or Chevelle?
